On Wednesday, June 11, I had a Kooks-filled day with two Kooks shows.
The Terrordactyls make the most dino-tastic music since T.Rex.
I’m back! And I’ve returned with some up and coming bands—from both sides of the Pond!

These were not only the best CRIBS shows I’ve been to, but also two of the best shows I’ve been to all year.

I never expected THE REDWALLS and ROBBERS ON HIGH STREET to play together, so seeing them on the same bill was a welcomed surprise.
My first visit to The Mercury Lounge was a success.

On June 13 I was faced with a dilemma: FRANZ FERDINAND or THE RAKES? They are two of my favorite bands and I didn’t want to miss either one. Luckily I was able to catch both shows.
Over the next three days of SXSW I saw some bands I love repeatedly and caught some for the first time.
For a true music geek, SXSW is a dream come true. It is all about seeing bands you already love and discovering new ones to love in the future.

Thanks to the Airwaves Festival, Iceland is no longer only known for its nature tourist traps but also for its amazing bands and a unique setting for an amazing festival.
This was a completely different experience but it was still the same great band.
