Reptilians From Andromeda’s new 7” EP Doomsday releases, and premieres, today, the 1st of February, via Prof Sny Records (Prague-Czech Republic record label) and The Big Takeover, respectively.

Reptilians From Andromeda is a female-fronted garage rock/punk band from Istanbul, Turkey. The band plays electrifying alternative rock music that mixes punk, garage rock, no wave, and grunge. It’s gritty, grimy, distorted, noisy, and intense – The sound of the Turkish Underground.

Reptilians From Andromeda was formed by vocalist and songwriter Aybike Çelik Özbey and her husband Tolga Özbey, who plays guitars and is also a former member of ’90s pioneer Turkish punk band Rashit. Taylan Turan is the drummer and he has also played before in the French band 28.50 and the well-known Turkish act Toz ve Toz. Merve Ertugrul rounds out the band on bass.

The Doomsday EP was recorded and mixed by the Reptilians in Istanbul, and mastered by ’70s legendary UK powerpop/punk band The Monos frontman, producer Fran Ashcroft.

As an added sonic and visual attraction, Reptiles From Andromeda has also dropped a new video for the Courtney Love / Kim Gordon -like track “Come’On Babe”:
