Sightlines is a power-pop band from Vancouver, BC. Initially formed in 2011 as a lighthearted pop-punk side project, the trio made scattershot appearances for a few years before morphing into a full-time concern. Following a series of singles and EPs, Sightlines released its debut LP North in 2016, on Big Smoke / Alarum Records. A collection of infectious, fuzzed-out mini-anthems, the album garnered airplay on campus and community radio and CBC Radio 3, as well as favorable critical mentions including a nod on the Polaris “Longer List.”

In 2018, the band has returned with Love Ethic, a four-song EP spanning 8 minutes and covering such themes as relationship anxiety, failed friendships, gender fluidity, and generational change. In June, Sightlines will be hitting the road, playing several US dates for the first time as well as making an appearance at Calgary’s Sled Island Festival.

Sightlines is currently Eric Axen (vocals, guitar), Eirinn M (bass), and Ben Goldberg (drums).
