Norwegian singer/songwriter Bellman’s seductive new single “Just Like A Dream”, which gets its US premiere here, reveals an artist in constant search for a the perfect melody. This melancholic triumph of a dream-pop gem differ some from his previous releases with its peeled-back production and a captivating acoustic approach. On this track he was inspired by the ’80s and ’90s pop-scene, which he manage to merges with a contemporary and timely sound. Having decided to collaborate with his guitarist and producer-friend Jonas Rohde-Moe, the pair have succeeded to open yet another exiting window in Bellman’s ever expanding musical universe.

Bellman reveals, “This song came to me during a 16 hour train ride through rural Russia. Being on low budget tours can be a challenge, but it can also sharpen the mind, inspire and release the creative flow.”

Bellman, AKA Arne-Johan Rauan, is one of the leading voices of a new generation of artists that have succeeded in exporting his unique Norwegian sound to the rest of the world. Bellman draws inspiration for his blend of acoustic/electronic sounds, melancholic moods and contrasting energetic tones, from an eclectic mix of influences. So far, Bellman’s career has seen him release four hugely successful albums: Mainly Mute (2009), The Curse (2010), Melopoiïa (2013), and Morphology (2017), with all releases receiving universal acclaim from both critics and music lovers alike.
