Dreams can be frustrating. Ever try to get somewhere in a dream, and you just can’t? Ugh. Poor Ben Millburn went to bed one night and found himself stuck in an endless loop of surreal imagery. It happened again another night, and another — and kept happening several times a year for a decade!
Can you imagine how much that must have sucked? Oh wait, you don’t have to imagine, because Millburn and director Aaron Brown of Onion Creek Productions turned that shitty dream into a not-shitty video!
Also directly inspired by his dream/nightmare, “Don’t You Wait” is the first track on the Louisiana native’s debut EP, Strange Love & Consequence. The first of a two-part EP series called The Balance EPs, Strange Love & Consequence was mixed by engineer Brad Bell at Jim Eno from Spoon’s Public HiFi studio in Austin, Texas. It comes out December 11.
Don’t complain if this drives you crazy for a few minutes. Imagine ten years of it!
