Following three acclaimed EPs, Bristol, England’s Falling Stacks will release their debut full-length, No Wives, this month through Battle Worldwide Recordings.
Influenced by such obvious touchstones as Fugazi, Sonic Youth and Shellac (and some less obvious, like The Fall and Unwound), the band describes its music as sounding “like the thrashing and squawking of a buzzard with its leg in a mantrap” and insist that their songs are “mostly about dogs.” Clearly, they’ve got a sense of humor!
