Denver punk rock and roll band Reno Divorce has audiences in love with their brand new video, “She’s In Love With The Avenue”. The track is a rollicking coming of age song that catches the band playfully tipping their hat to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but keeping their punk rock ethos soundly in tact. The track comes off of their well-received and most recent EP, Ship of Fools.
Front and center are kustom cars, Gretsch guitars, a beautiful femme fatale, and the essence of a SoCal backyard party. Singer/ guitarist Brent Loveday is joined by fellow Gretsch endorsee Adam Burchfield (The Octanes – Austin, TX) on bass and drummer Jason LaBella, who provides a rock solid foundation with the accuracy of an atomic clock. Shot on location in Ventura, CA and Silver Strand beach on the 4th of July, the beauty and allure of California dreamin’ is seductively captured by accomplished director Dillon Novak.
Reno Divorce have methodically honed their craft in the seediest of speakeasies and on the biggest stages across America and Europe for the last 16 years. Denver, CO may be where they call HQ, but the band’s melding of Orange County punk, honky tonk country, and a tip-jar full of rockabilly and rhythm and blues makes it hard to triangulate exactly where they call home. The band has 9 European tours notched in their belts, supporting and touring with stalwart bands like Bad Religion, Social Distortion, Soul Asylum, X, Gogo Bordello, Rev. Horton Heat, Supersuckers, The Queers, and more.
Reno Divorce continues to grow their success with each album and tour, and the band’s music persists to evolve and leads them in new directions. The song “In Love with the Avenue” will be rereleased as part of a vinyl-only double EP in June called Fair Weather Friends/ Ship of Fools. A European tour will follow and then Japan in November.
