NYC-based critically acclaimed veteran alternative/dream-pop/art-rock band Elysian Fields are set to release their latest album, Pink Air, on September 21st via Ojet Records.

Oren Bloedow and Jennifer Charles have a diverse wealth of experiences in the underground art world (Tzadik Records) to big-time projects (Du Yun’s Angel’s Bones), and their latest record cements their status of creating mesmerizing music with a message. Bloedow and Charles are joined by Simon Hanes (Tredici Bacci, Cloud Becomes Your Hand, Shimmer) on bass, who consistently and significantly notches up the energy on any given project he’s a part of.

Elysian Fields know climate change is real, and for “Storm Cellar,” the first single from Pink Air, they channel retro- wave low-budget performance videos down in their fictional storm cellar/rehearsal basement (filmed at The Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn). That is where they find shelter from the storm, rocking out while the world above them is washed away by heavy weather. “I’ve got roots, I’ve got wine, a dirty sheep skin rug / Lay you down and keep you snug / Climb down/climb down…”
