Hailing from Liverpool, the birthplace of British Rock ’n’ Roll, Tim Peacock’s career as a music writer began with his three-year stint at the much-missed UK rock weekly Sounds between 1988 and 1991.
Since then, he has spent time working in regional PR (including time employed by Echo & The Bunnymen) before moving into online media, establishing the popular Anglo-Irish music publication Whisperin’ & Hollerin’ which he now edits.
These days Tim is based in scenic County Cork, Ireland, where he remains as obsessive about music as ever. He intends to bring coverage of the best UK and Irish releases to The Big Takeover’s discerning readers.
While Stephen Ryan has long impressed me as one of the most promising Irish songwriters around, his new improved Windings now have the invention and punch to match him step for step.
