The energy from five musicians in one room borders on magic. Whether or not they say a word, the riffs, the beats, and the rhythms carry their conversation around the room. Sons Of Silver feed off this sort of face-to-face energy. A tried-and-true rock n’ roll band, they plug in and unlock a flood of emotions energized by unbridled guitars, fluid percussion, and a distinct vocal howl. There’s a lot of rock n’ roll history within the band which features Peter Argyropoulos of Pete RG, original Pearl Jam drummer and Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dave Krusen, Candlebox bassist Adam Kury, former Skillet guitarist Kevin Haaland, and keyboardist and engineer Brina Kabler.

Sons Of Silver’s recently released EP Ordinary Sex Appeal reflects the band’s straightforward, no-nonsense rock ‘n’ roll sensibilities. Frontman Argyropoulos shares some of his insight about the song and video “Cause Of My Pain,” “Like most of our songs, “Cause Of My Pain” came about from a jam session. I started looping on a guitar riff, Adam and Dave jumped in with a great groove and Kevin had an Angus Young moment with his addition of some chunky guitar chords”.

Argyropoulos continues, “Writing and recording took place during the fall of 2020 and the socio-political theme of the lyrics was inspired by the intensity of the time. But I’m beginning to look at the song differently after shooting the video which features myself and Brina, the band’s keyboardist, and my wife. I now see it as a kind of love song. Not a warm and fuzzy love song. But, a very 2020-ish love song, nonetheless. So, following the release of this video, I’ll tell people it’s a love song when asked about the meaning of the lyrics, from now on. If anything, that’ll help me dodge any conversations about politics”.

The band’s 2020 debut release Doomsday Noises garnered three spots on the Billboard Active Rock Chart, with Ordinary Sex Appeal the band puts a fresh take on their already proven formula.
