We at The Big Takeover have always had a soft spot for Thunderclap Newman‘s one-hit-wonderful “Something In The Air.” Produced by Pete Townshend of The Who, the single reached No. 1 on the UK charts just three weeks after release, in July 1969.
Many artists have covered this song, from Labelle to Eurythmics to Tom Petty and the U.K. Subs. Now here comes Eros and the Eschaton (the shoegazing couple from Greensboro, N.C. whose debut album, Home Address For Civil War, came out last summer on Bar/None) with a dreamy yet spirited take on the classic.
This non-LP track comes to you exclusively through BigTakeover.com. Dig it!
