Part two of my year-end album list. This time, the entries are #s 11-20, going in reverse order.
Part One #‘s 21-30
(20) Bass Drum Of Death – GB City (Fat Possum)
(19) Chris Connelly – Artificial Madness (Relapse)
Sounds like mid-to-late ’90s Bowie. Really enjoyed it.
(18) Bully In The Hallway – Crooks And Their Castles (Self-Released)
Their first album sounded like Radio Birdman, this one like Naked Raygun or The Bomb. They are growing bolded and better. Soon, they won’t be my little secret.
(17) Hunx And His Punx – Too Young To Be In Love (Hardly Art)
The fifties are alive and well. What great tunes.
(16) Youth Lagoon – The Year Of Hibernation (Fat Possum)
The third and final Fat Possum release on my list, I had heard this when it was still up in the air and with no track order.
(15) Bonnie “Prince” Billy – Wolfroy Goes To Town (Drag City)
Definitely one of the better Will Oldham releases.
(14) Mastodon – The Hunter (Roadrunner)
While not really being big on Mastodon, this is, by far, my favorite metal album of the year.
(13) R.E.M. – Collapse Into Now (Warner Bros.)
The legends’ last album lets them go out on a high note.
(12) Florence + The Machine – Ceremonials (Island)
(11) The Men – Leave Home (Sacred Bones)
Best Sacred Bones release to date.
