XTC: Videography I (1977-1978)
The UK’s class of ’77 graduated few more durable, adventurous or curious groups than XTC. For nigh-on 30 years the band survived, gradually shedding members while constantly evolving. Unlike many bands of their era, opinion is divided about what constitutes XTC’s zenith but certainly the utter uniqueness of their hyperactive sound circa 1977-1978 (when keyboardist Barry Andrews was still in the band) gives it some claim to being their peak.
