Bonnaroo- a time of heat, good vibes, and better music. It’s currently Wednesday, the 15th, and I’m sitting in my suburban Chicago home trying to reflect back on it all. Unfortunately, per my 9 hour drive back, I had to sacrifice seeing Kurt Vile and the Violators, Dead and Company, and Father John Misty as well as Death Cab for Cutie. Am I upset I missed them? Yes. It does not, however, detract from the experiences that I had at Bonnaroo this past year. I had remarkable interviews with Twin Peaks, Steve Gunn, The Floozies, and had the opportunity to chat with many, many more artists. It was an experience that I would absolutely do again, and I’m thrilled that Bonnaroo is simply the first leg of my summer festival experience this year. No doubt, many more fine shows and interviews are to come, but for now- I’ve enjoyed having the time to report on the festival to my audience. I will be posting my interviews with The Floozies and Steve Gunn later today, as well as post a series of my better pictures for your enjoyment. Thanks for being along for the ride, and most importantly, happy ‘Roo!
