Last spotted exploring the intersection of music and dance in a frozen wood, rubber-limbed banjo-anarchist Curtis Eller has reunited his band, The American Circus, for a new album, A Poison Melody. Following a tracking session for the forthcoming LP, Eller and company gathered in a dilapidated barn in rural North Carolina and filmed a series of live performance videos. The band blasted through five numbers, including three songs from the new album, one from the vault, and a cover of a Pete Seeger classic. Today’s exclusive premiere, “Radiation Poison,” is a surreal and swinging rave-up about the effects of radioactive exposure on President Harry S Truman. Hot stuff!
