This month’s (and last month’s) Rabid Sessions at Pancake Factory Studios on Breakthruradio.com shows are with Brooklyn shoegaze/dreampop veterans Dead Leaf Echo and harder-faster dreampop/shoegaze London greats Cheatahs. Both play four live songs for us in the studio without overdubs, sit for a long interview with me, and sit patiently while I spin several bands directly associated with both. Why not tune in? Both turned out to be super nice guys (and one girl, in Dead Leaf Echo), by the way. And both are terrific sessions. Kudos once again to engineer/producer Mike Hurst, Pancake Factory’s maven, for his sterling work in recording them.
