My guest on this month’s radio sessions, the “Rabid Sessions at Pancake Factory” show for Breakthruradio.com, is New York’s own orchestral pop/indie pop marvels The Sharp Things! Tune in as we discuss their brand-new, ambitious four-album project The Dogs of Bushwick (the first installment is just out now!), and take in songs of theirs in session both new and old. Some of the recordings are from their home base Kennel studios in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn (former home of the “Rabid in the Kennel” sessions show), and some from a recent gig. Cool!
Plus I also spin, for your edification, some songs that seem to fit with The Sharp Things, by The Left Banke, The Divine Comedy, The Zombies, Jenifer Convertible, Big Star, Time or Dirt, and Scott Walker. Why not tune in? It’s fun!
