Under Satan’s Sun, songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Anders Manga‘s third LP as Bloody Hammers, keeps dark faith with the first two, but more so. With extra lead in their tread, Manga’s rumbling riffs leave bruises in their wake, while his charistmatic baritone relishes every draught of blood drawn. The horror flick obsession rampages unimpeded, warning of (welcoming?) “The Moon-Eyed People,” the “Dead Man’s Shadow On the Wall” and “The Town That Dreaded Sundown.” Not to mention someone/thing called “Spearfinger” – who knows what that might be, but the Hammers make it sound awesome. “Welcome to the Horror Show” indeed.
