Never ones to stay quiet for long, Los Angeles rock’n‘roll heroes Dr. Boogie drop a song into cyberspace just to remind us that they’re still kicking.
“Peanut Butter Blues” fully delivers on everything the quartet promised on their previous single. Produced by Gabe Lowry at Fox Force Five Recorders and featuring Teddy Zig Zag on keyboards, the song builds from a Sticky Fingers-era Rolling Stones swagger to a genuine ’70s sound straddling early Slade and Rose Tattoo. It’s the Friday night drinking anthem for everyone who works hard all week and has nothing to show for it.
The song will be available digitally February 10.
