MICK MEDEW used to front Australia’s cult heroes the SCREAMING TRIBESMEN, whose fiery mix of Aussie/Detroit power rock and catchy Anglo guitar pop won hearts and minds with its easy accessibility. Joined by his latest band the RUMOURS, Medew emphasizes the rock more than the pop on All Your Love. But his grasp on melody is still super-strong, as evidenced by exciting, guitar-bashing pounders like “When the Wood is Brown,” “Start the Show” and the title track. Even heavy rockers like “Way Down Low” have a perfect note of winsomeness, thanks to adenoidal vocals that don’t even try for grit. Medew also covers the ONLY ONES‘ “Another Girl, Another Planet” here, which proves to be a perfect choice. All Your Love is everything good about tuneful, ass-kicking rock & roll – it’s as simple as that.
