Where do these great British pop bands come from? I know the U.K. is responsible for the
BEATLES, the
KINKS, the
MOVE, etc., but you’d think the production of excellent guitar pop would slow down eventually. Not so, as
Dog Eared Moonlight, the third album from the
MILK & HONEY BAND, proves. Led by
ROBERT WHITE, a former member of the long-lost U.K. psych rock band
LEVITATION, the M&Hers offer up ten gentle, melodic, often downright gorgeous songs. White’s plainspoken vocals fit the folk/pop atmosphere perfectly, and his songwriting touch sparkles on gems like “Waste of Time,” “Cut the Line” and “No World at All.” If you’re a fan of smart, heartfelt pop tunes, the Milk & Honey Band deserves more of your time and attention.
