10 Songs That I Remember Loving As A Child

These are 10 of the first songs that I ever remember falling in love with as a child (during the early 80’s). I first heard most of them on cassettes in my father’s car, or on the oldies station that I tuned into on the clock radio next to my bed every night before I went to sleep. I still love all of these songs and feel that they played a huge roll in making me the music nut that I am today. What are some of the first songs that you remember being blown away by as a child? Are they still amongst your favorites?

  1. The Association – “Along Comes Mary”

  2. Otis Redding – “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay”

  3. Lesley Gore – “It’s My Party”

  4. Sam The Sham and The Pharaohs – “Wooly Bully”

  5. Del Shannon – “Runaway”

  6. The Yardbirds – “For Your Love”

  7. The Kingsmen – “Louie, Louie”

  8. The Zombies – “She’s Not There”

  9. The Supremes – “Baby Love”

  10. Manfred Mann – “Do Wah Diddy”
