Dave Heaton: February 25, 2007

  1. Bob Dylan – Nashville Skyline

Heard this for the first time recently, if you can believe it. Just a hopeful, pretty album for him, I’m loving it.

  2. Robert Pollard – Silverfish Trivia (Prom Is Coming)

Still enjoying this one, and its particularly wistful mood.

  3. The Eames Era – Heroes and Sheroes

Playing this like crazy too – catchy as heck but much more than that. I keep noticing more dimensions to it, like the sing-along, dance-along party that seems to be going on in the background.

  4. Sloan – Never Hear the End of It (Yep Roc)

Still enjoying exploring this one, and I do mean exploring, considering how far and wide it reaches.

  5. Buying Records for $5 or Less

I’ve been budget record-shopping lately. The next five are the best recent purchases.

  6. Aztec Camera – High Land, Hard Rain (Sire)

    $5!

  7. The Temptations – Cloud Nine (Motown)

    $5!

  8. Smokey Robinson and the Miracles – Special Occasion (Motown)

    $3!

  9. The Church – Starfish (Arista)

    $2!

  10. Petula Clark – I Know a Place (Warner Bros.)

    $1!
