Greg Bartalos: March 25, 2007

  1. Thee More Shallows – A History of Sport Fishing (Megalon)

Previously out of print, the group’s debut will see the light of day again later this month. A new studio album—Book of Bad Dreams—is also coming out next month on the Anticon label. And a worldwide tour kicks off April 2nd, which brings the band stateside starting May 4th.

  2. Neil Young – Living with War (Reprise)
  3. The Briggs – Back to Higher Ground (Side One Dummy)
  4. Burning Airlines – Mission Control (DeSoto)
  5. Idlewild – Make Another World (BMG)
  6. Jon Brion – Meaningless
  7. Pat Metheny Group – Letter from Home (Nonesuch)
  8. The Black Watch – Tatterdemalion (Stonegarden)
  9. The Bee Gees – Bee Gees’ 1st (Rhino)

If you think the only music the Bee Gees made was for Saturday Night Fever, think again. The group made some fantastic orchestral pop/rock starting with their 1967 debut, which Rhino re-released this year as a double disk.

  10. The Monkees – Head (Rhino)

The movie is a must-see too.
