  1. D’espairs Ray
This relatively new Visual Kei band has ravaged my ears with their brooding and abrasive industrial-screamo-glam. Catch ‘em at Avalon in NYC on February 23rd! Listen
  2. All Dolled Up (NR)
So fun to watch footage of all the New York Dolls alive and well! This DVD, by legendary photographer Bob Gruen and his wife Nadya Beck, is filled with candid, behind-the-scenes stuff and is sooo worth buying if you love the Dolls, glam, punk, or just platform boots and booty shorts on cute skinny guys!
  3. Various – Stigmata: Music From the MGM Motion Picture (Virgin)
Billy Corgan and Mike Garson (a pianist known for his work with David Bowie since 1971) put this awesome soundtrack together for this awesome possession movie. Some of the programming is also by Bon Harris of Nitzer Ebb fame. The soundtrack includes stuff by Bjork, Massive Attack and Remy Zero alongside some harrowing instrumentals.
  4. All Gone Dead
Refreshing amalgam of deathrock, metal and coldwave from UK DJ Darlin’ Grave and her band. Listen
  5. New York City’s Morningside Heights
I can’t keep being an Uptown hater now that I’m gettin’ learned at Columbia. So no more “I don’t go above 14th Street” dissess. Besides, it’s kinda nice up there anyways, and apparently it has the second lowest crime rate in Manhattan. Woo!
  6. Hello Kitty Snowboard Gear!
686 has teamed up with Sanrio to make a whole line of winter weather wear with our favorite kitty on them. (Hurry, it’s limited edition stuff!)
  7. The Saint (PG-13)
Man I love this super spy movie. Don’t you wish Val Kilmer was still as hot as he was in 1997?
  8. The Sisters of Mercy full US tour!
YES! Thank you Von! Now after I fly out to Vegas to see the first US show in 7 years I can see ‘em again at Webster Hall on March 6th!
  9. Bloody Dead and Sexy
Bloody, dead, and sexy deathrock from Germany. Listen
  10. Trashlight Vision
As the name implies, these guys make totally trashy punk with a dash of Dolls-y glam. Also features the sexy Acey Slade, previously of Murderdolls and Dope. Listen
