May is Metal Month!

VH1 Classic has deemed May as “Metal Month,” so I thought I’d discuss some exciting goings on in the world of metal… \m/

1. Decades Rock Live: Heart and Friends (Friday, May 5, 2006, VH1 Classic)
   Heart is honored by a host of rockers: Phil Anselmo sings lead for Alice in Chains with the Wilson sisters backing them up and Jerry Cantrell professes his love for Nancy Wilson’s wicked chops.
2. Rio Grande Blood is released, Ministry begins MasterBaTour tonight in San Antonio.

3. CC Deville on VH1’s “Surreal Life” every Sunday.
   Last week they played battle of the bands with Poison cover band Posin!
4. Axl Rose shows up at Eddie Trunk’s radio show.

7. New VH1 reality show featuring Damnocracy supergroup.
   Sebastian Bach on vocals, Evan Seinfeld on bass, Ted Nugent and Scott Ian on guitar, and Jason Bonham on drums. What an interesting lineup – the show begins May 21.
