Songs on Repeat

  1. The Drown – “Vile Bodies”

Indie goth rock injected with sleazy 80’s metal guitars, snotty vocals, and lyrics referencing “dead rose bouquets.” Am I dreaming? Listen.

  2. The Secret Resistance – “Nothing Feels Good (Parts 1 & 2)”

Catchy track with tossed off, appealing vocals and a 70’s hard rock stomp that drifts off into an acoustic, electro-tinged dreamscape. Check out Jackie Wells, Chris Scianni, and Dave Borla of The Secret Resistance here.

  3. Kelli Ali – “Home Honey I’m High”

Not as good as her work with Sneaker Pimps, but Ali’s solo stuff on Psychic Cat is slinky, pulsing electro-sex – especially this song. Listen.

  4. Battery – “Aftermath”

Sick programming and a really pissed off post-breakup young lady. Wish this band got more respect…

  5. Christian Death – “Figurative Theatre” Remix by Klute

Classic track redone with heavy, fuzzed-out electronics. Dance-floor ready!

  6. Muse – “Hysteria”
Radiohead rip-offs or not, this song is pretty hot.
  7. Prick – “River Head”

    Gotta love Prick.

  8. Sisterhood – “Jihad”

I could listen to this 2-5-0-0-0 times and still enjoy all 8 minutes and 16 seconds of its repetitive groove.

  9. Sex Gang Children – “Dieche”

Tribal goodness. Bring on the war dance.

  10. Roxette – “The Look”

I am not too cool to profess my eternal love for this song.
