Some fresh garage/punk nuggets from my hometown and beyond!

  1. The Monsters – Wild Wild Lover

Amazing lofi legends from Switzerland are set to release a new album soon. No songs on the web yet so enjoy this killer tune “Wild Wild Lover”.

  2. The Polymorphines – Poor Sicko

Ottawa, Ontario based rawk destroyers The Polymorphines recently returned from a pilgrimage to Austin, TX where they knocked out a ream of new garage burners under the learned production of Mudhoney collaborator Tim Kerr. The resulting EP The Slip is a hint of the walloping greatness of the full-length to come and underscores the ability of this killer live band who are head and shoulders above the fray.

  3. Skip Jensen – All The Way To My Grave

Montreal garage punk vet Skip James lays down his nasty hooks like a true believer. Raw and ready, his new full-length The Spirit of the Ghost is a dirty, booty-shakin masterpiece.

  4. Kill Squares – Smile For You

Montreal-based Haligonian dirty rawk band Kill Squares have a fat, raunchy sound that will stank up a room proper.

Chicago DIY garage/punk/blues champs Rabble Rabble have a new single out which is totally badass and are on tour right now! Go catch em if you live in the Northeast US.

  7. Nightmare Boyzzz – Batman

Dank punkz from Muscle Shoals, Nighmare Boyzzz are cutting some weird shit that sucks in everything that’s good about rock n’ roll and then pukes it back all over you. I mean this in a good way.

    Batman by Nightmare Boyzzz

  8. The Growlers – Empty Bones

New band from Nashville, The Growlers are totally addictive, I can’t stop listening to this shit, a totally unique sound blending first wave surf twang and bizarre, hallucinogenic singwriting and lofi jam garage experimentation. Simply awesome.

  9. Sissyfist – Welfare

Queercore from Montreal, this paean to the poguey cheque is a fucking summertime dance party au boute.
