Heading into 17 year-old pop music phenom Billie Eilish‘s recent concert in Minneapolis I wanted to see what all the excitement was about. There were a lot of teens and pre-teens in attendance, and a few dads and moms. I was shooting photos during the first three songs and got to see up close the almost beatlemania-like enthusiasm her audience elicits. Loudly singing along to the opener “Bad Guy” nearly drowned out the amplified vocals in the cavernous Minneapolis Armory. After years of bubbly pop stars, the outcasts and weird kids finally have their own major pop star to look up to.
