Angel brought arena rock to the intimate setting of the Arcada Theatre on Sunday. Vocalist Frank DiMino and lead guitarist Punky Meadows were front and center, belting out Angel classics along with songs from forthcoming album Once Upon A Time due in April. Angel classic “The Fortune” had fans picking up their bottom jaws from the floor. The band’s cover of “I Ain’t Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore” was performed with ample flair, and would have had The Young Rascals themselves smiling. After “Rock and Rollers,” the crowd demanded that Angel return one more time to slay them with the classic ”Tower.”
