This month’s Rabid Sessions at Pancake Factory Studios on Breakthruradio.com show is with New York veterans +/- (AKA Plus Minus). They play four live songs for us in the studio without overdubs, sit for a long interview with me, and sit patiently while I spin nearly every band past associated with singer/guitarist James Baluyut and his talented two brothers Ed and Richard, the latter of whom sat in on bass on this session (Versus, Whysall Lane, Flower, Pacific Ocean, and French!), as well as songs by Heaven and The Smiths. Why not tune in? Great bunch of guys, by the way. And a terrific session. Kudos once again to engineer/producer Mike Hurst, Pancake Factory’s maven, for his sterling work in recording them.
Also appearing in the interview and on the session, bandmembers Patrick Ramos and Chris Deaner. And the original versions of all four songs appear on their new album, Jumping the Tracks, their return to their original label home, Teenbeat after two albums on Absolutely Kosher.
