Andy Frasco & the U.N. will unveil a new song called “Grow Old” tomorrow, but the Big Takeover is mercifully providing impatient fans of the blues-rockers with an exclusive premiere of the track today.

“Grow Old” is the second single from the L.A. band’s forthcoming album, Wash, Rinse, Repeat, due April 8. The track is a heartfelt guitar-led number in which the artist expresses sincere, unconditional love. With a sound resembling Ben Lee and a blissful spirit similar to the Flaming Lips, “Grow Old” gives indie-pop listeners a well-deserved, calming respite after two very rough years for everyone.

Speaking about the track, Frasco wrote: “ ’Grow Old’ is a song about not giving up on love before it even has a chance to bloom. We seem to run away from love when the going gets tough, but what I’m realizing as I get older is that true love doesn’t just come without effort. It takes work, and it takes going through the full cycle of emotions to really let that love blossom like a flower.”

Andy Frasco & the U.N.‘s brand-new album features 12 songs that capture the evolution of Frasco and his sound during his career. Tracks include the upbeat hit “Dancin’ Around My Grave,” which was accompanied with a music video depicting Frasco planning his own funeral if he were to die young. Meanwhile, the title track touches on the pandemic and the joy that he expects will be felt broadly once the pandemic comes to a close. It’s a bit of an emotional rollercoaster, but a cathartic one.

In addition to working on music, Frasco developed a variety show titled Andy Frasco’s World Saving ShitShow and a podcast named _Andy Frasco’s World Saving Podcast) amid the pandemic. His variety show and podcast has included interviews and musical performances by many notable guests such as Tony Hawk, Stevie Van Zandt, Bert Kreischer, Kurt Vile, Nathaniel Rateliff, Melissa Etheridge, Béla Fleck, Kamasi Washington, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and more.

Andy Frasco & the U.N. are headed out on tour this spring, featuring dates with Twiddle and Umphrey’s McGee, in addition to festival stops at Summer Camp Music Festival, Sea.Hear.Now Festival, 4848 Festival and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Tickets are available now.
