On the heels of their EP Red Returns, released earlier in 2016, and following several years of successful live shows including opening for Johnny Marr, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Charlatans UK, and Foals among others, Desario is quickly back with their new six song release: Haunted.

Haunted continues to move ahead with the songwriting and sound templates Desario laid out on Red Returns. The band members have maintained the tight arrangements and hooks of its predecessor, reminiscent of classic Britpop, shoegaze, and indie, but with an even grittier edge. Emphasizing on capturing the band’s live sound and energy in the studio, Desario, again, chose to team up with veteran recording engineer Tony Cale working the controls; the lone exception being a contemporary adaptation of The House of Love’s early hit, “Nothing To Me”, recorded by Michael Yoas.

Even more raw, stripped down, and dirtier than Red Returns, Haunted still features the dual guitar and rhythm-section-based approach that has been synonymous with Desario in recent years, drawing the attention of indie fans and critics alike.
