Grasser is back with “Don’t Make It Weird,” their third music video from their forthcoming sophomore album, You’re Welcome For Having Us, out August 30th via Mint 400 Records & Byrdhouse Records.
The video is a playful portrait of our protagonist and her group of friends as they venture through town — gardening, biking, smoking, thrifting, drinking and other mundane, easily-overlooked activities that often define our relationships with the
people we’re closest to. It’s a reminder and a promise to not take any of it for granted.
While the song delves into one of the more challenging periods to the group’s bond, the visuals juxtapose that anxious energy with a look at where they’d find themselves just a few years later. Settled. Confident. Thriving. It serves as an ode to the ups and
downs of long-term friendships, and, additionally, getting yourself sweet little treats.
Grasser, alongside Little Hag, are having a dual album release listening party at Over the Moon in Asbury Park, NJ on 8/16 for free. Then Grasser follows that up with their first live performance in 5 years at Wonder Bar in Asbury Park, NJ on 8/30 for their record release show. They will be joined by Modern Chemistry, Last Legs, and Idle Wave.
