For two years, St. Louis-based Kevin Bachmann had been steadfastly working on an album for his music project Summer Magic. The songwriter and multi-instrumentalist teamed up with Benjamin Marsh who provided additional songwriting and playing contributions. Their collective effort is an 8-song album titled Sharks and Other Dangers which will be released on August 31st.

The Big Takeover is delighted to premiere a tasty bite off the LP, the upbeat “A Certain Little Chord.” The track was co-produced at Native Sound Recording with David Beeman (Pokey Lafarge, Tristen) and mixed by David Vandervelde (Father John Misty). “A Certain Little Chord” swims in bright, silky harmonies, catchy melodies, strummy guitars, and propulsive rhythms. It’s bottled sunshine uncorked and unleashed for thirsty ears. Drink up!
