Two of NYC’s finest — The Sweet Things and The Liza Colby Sound — are heading out on the Dirty Sweet Sound Tour starting today, and the bands have released a joint track titled “Dustianne”, which The Big Takeover premieres here. The pairing comes up with an upbeat, gritty Southern garage vibe, topped off with Colby’s powerhouse soul-style vocals.

The Sweet Things explain, ““In a perfect world it’s the bastard child of “Gimme Three Steps” meets “Paradise By the Dashboard Light…”, but who knows, the dart never really lands on the bullseye now does it? It came very naturally, it was just kinda us picking lines out of each other’s road fables and stitchin’ ‘em together… throw in a chord or two, a drum fill and out pops “Dustianne”. The fun ones are like that, they pop!”
