North Carolina natives Flagship have brought life back to the indie rock world and are here with their newest single “Philadelphia Babe” off their forthcoming EP The Ladder, out this April.
There’s an undying energy in this track as the buoyant soundscape engulfs you. Drake Margolnick (vocals, guitar) and Michael Finster (drums) have a knack for making meaningful, powerful, and dynamic tracks that meld the best features of indie rock and folk music. “Philadelphia Babe” is a love song that makes you move, it is a song that you can relate to, but most importantly, it is a song that helps you break down those walls and makes you feel.
Margolnick explains, “Philadelphia Babe is about someone who thought they’d never find love finding it. It’s about those first days, weeks, months of a new relationship that are overwhelmingly good.”
