After relocating from the East Coast to his home of Salt Lake City, indie-artist Toto Peña started releasing a suite of singles in the past year to showcase a more soul-inspired sound. While the jangly guitars and a detuned effect on the keys make his new song “FUELT4NK” sound lo-fi, Peña takes the production up a notch out of his new studio, Kandinsky Western Recording Services. The Big Takeover is proudly sharing his latest single, “FUELT4NK,” which shows a more carefree, indie-rock side of the songwriter.
Peña said, “After settling into my new recording space and dialing all my instruments throughout this spring, ‘FUELT4NK’ arrives with an energy I feel I have yet to share with the world: A more happy and positive vibe. I am in a flow state at the studio, living in my own world and my mixing and producing has been improving. This song only came after living back in Salt Lake for a year and it’s become my homage to the Salt Lake Sound.”
Toto Peña is also releasing the Spanish version “GASOLIN4” next month on July, 18 and be sure to follow them on Spotify, Bandcamp, Instagram, and TikTok.
