The latest video from Portland, Oregon’s Eyelids is for the closing song “Furthest Blue” off their 2nd LP or (which was produced by Peter Buck of R.E.M.). The video put together by David Dalglish depicts haunting and colorfully surrealistic film footage which is the perfect pairing to Eyelids’ sound which they describe as “sweet melodies with bummer vibes.” Infusing Big Star’s jangle to XTC’s melodicism, connecting the dots between the dream pop sounds of the ‘80s Paisley Underground to the homespun post-punk of the legendary Flying Nun label, The Big Takeover also named or their #12 record of the year for 2017.

The band just put the finishing touches on their next 12” record, MAYBE MORE, which will also include a full side of rambunctious live recordings from their recent East Coast tour. MAYBE MORE will be available on limited hand numbered colored vinyl, CD, and digital io June 22nd. They are also working on a collaborative record with Larry Beckett (lyricist for Tim Buckley’s first two albums and Star Sailor), writing new songs for their 3rd full length, and their debut album 854 was just re-released on orange colored vinyl via Jealous Butcher Records.
