“[This] was largely shot at Make Out Room, my favorite bar/live venue in San Francisco,” says longtime Bay Area multi-instrumentalist and sideman Tom Heyman (John Vanderslice, Alejandro Escovedo, Chuck Prophet) of his new video. “[It’s] one of the last great things still left in the Mission District now that the rents have tripled.” That sense of loss and longing pervades this evocative and beautifully filmed video, directed by Ryan Browne.
As for the song, which appears on Heyman’s new, third solo album, That Cool Blue Feeling, it reminds us of a classic old beer commercial — and that’s meant as a high compliment! Seriously, we love this. Have a look & listen.
