“Make The Most” comes from GuitarDrumming 0I, the fourth release from O.A.R.’s MikelParis.
““Make the Most” is about my favorite things to do when I wake up.” says MP about the song. “The simple things that set me up for a happy day and appreciating every moment including the mundane. I found the perfect location to film the video at ShamC in Safety Harbor Florida. Everywhere I looked was creative inspiration. From the bedroom I slept in to the performance space I performed in. I kept telling myself “make the most of this and every experience.” And interestingly enough, I realized during the filming process that it was becoming a discovery of expression through color.”
The mini-album features seven other originals, showcasing his unique “GuitarDrumming” style of guitar playing and includes contributions from Vernon Reid, G. Love and Of Good Nature. GuitarDrumming 0I was released March 28 on 12” LP vinyl, digital download, and streaming services by ZP Records. Blending techniques borrowed from drumming, percussion, piano playing, with orthodox guitar and bass playing, MP created a rich tapestry of intensely rhythmic sound he calls “GuitarDrumming” which has proven an ideal complement to his soulful vocals, honest lyrics, stomped-out beats, and keyboard virtuosity.
