Daydream Machine’s The Show Must Not Go On LP (Picture In My Ear) releases in March 2017 and was tracked at Gregg Williams’ studio The Trench (Blitzen Trapper, Dandy Warhols’ 13 Tales From Urban Bohemia) and then lyrics were written in Jamaica after tracking. Guest appearances include: Warhols’ Peter Holmstrom, Federale’s Colin Sheridan, The Upsidedown’s Matt Moore, and M. Ward / Rick Bain keyboardist Nathan Junior. The album was mixed by Jonathan Allen.
Daydream Machine is based out of Portland, Oregon and its current members are B. Graham Mild, Josh Kalberg, Jsun Atoms, and Jonathan Allen.
Daydream Machine has opened shows recently for the bands Jagwar Ma, Kula Shaker, Dead Meadow, The Allah La’s, The Black Ryder, Elephant Stone, Rain Parade,Asteroid #4, Hinds, David Kilgour & The Heavy Eights, Besnard Lakes, and Cellar Doors.
The Big Takeover premieres “Modern Prophecy”, a song about Kool-Aid in the sacred pool regarding the rigid dichotomy between science and mysticism with tongue firmly planted in a bourgeois cheek.
