Oh man it is finally feeling like springtime here at BTHQ and this retro-groovy tune is exactly what we need to get our mojo working!
“Speedy Consuela” is a family band consisting of brother and sister Steve and Joyce Raskin (now Mrs. White), and their musician partners Johnna Raskin and Matt White. Fans of 90’s Indie rock will remember Joyce from her fantastic, Boston-based trio Scarce and Steve from DC post-punk popsters Edsel. Steve is also one of the masterminds behind downtempo superstars (and Thievery Corporation cohorts) Thunderball and funkdafied remixers the Fort Knox Five.
