Malibu-based artist duo Very Nice Person will release single “Underwater” with a music video on Friday (11/21) from their upcoming album due early next year. “Underwater” follows their October single “Trampoline,” the duo’s first release since their 2024 album When The Sun Explodes, whose album title track can be found on the GRAMMY award-winning album For The Birds: The Birdsong Project, Vol 2.
Very Nice Person blends acoustic and electronic elements to craft a sound that bridges early digital dance music with indie pop. Inspired by the sonic landscapes of Phoenix, Bjork, Aphex Twin, and Arthur Russell, their music is a meticulous fusion of organic instrumentation and intricate production, with a deep emphasis on both songwriting and sound design.
