L.A.‘s Thin Wrist Recordings has released the best album of 2016. The band is 75 Dollar Bill. The album is Wood/Metal/Plastic/Pattern/Rhythm/Rock.
On their second LP, this New York duo has created pure ethnomusic that feels like it’s always existed and is now simply re-existing to impart wisdom to a civilization on the decline. Surpassing the primitive boogie of 2015’s Wooden Bag, Rick Brown and Che Chen have built a work of art. “Beni Said” is pure euphoria. “I’m Not Trying To Wake Up” is genuine equanimity.
REPEAT: L.A.‘s Thin Wrist Recordings has released the best album of 2016. The band is 75 Dollar Bill. The album is Wood/Metal/Plastic/Pattern/Rhythm/Rock.
