Fans of this short-lived but incredible melodic punk/power pop band were elated earlier this year when their long out-of-print 7” (their only document) from 1982 was reissued on a 12” by Left for Dead Records out of Wisconsin. While that pressing has sold out, a 2nd vinyl pressing (with a beautiful 11×17 poster) as well as a cassette and CD version have now been released, making it easier for fans who want a physical copy of this release to get one. Comprised of 4 teenagers (the oldest of whom, singer Cheryl (now KB “Tuffy) Boyze<.b>, was just 18 at the time) who met at school in Brooklyn, Nasty Facts were, during their brief existence, a fixture on the very early ’80s TR3/Mudd Club/Max’s/CBs, etc. scene of the very early ’80s playing melodic but raw pop-punk/power-pop reminiscent of Buzzcocks, The Undertones and other like-minded bands, but with their own feel, with hints of the speedy hardcore that would come to dominate the scene soon afterward. It also features liner notes from
