Denise Marsa - Company of Women (KeyMedia Group)

26 September 2025

Music is able to embody and emcompass many moods. It can brood, it can rage, it can console. It can be happy, sad or philosohical. But it shines brightest when it has something to celebrate, more so when it is something fundamental and essential. Without a doubt, Denise Marsa’s latest single, “Company of Women”, is precisely that—a joyous toast to sisterhood, creativity, and the strength women draw from one another.

This remix (courtesy of Until Dawn) blends the cutting edge of modern pop-dancefloor culture with echoes of half-forgotten disco days, it is fun and full of life, energetic to the point of exhaustion, vibrant and vital and voracious and vivacious, and it swaps the deep and meaningful (although in it’s own way, it is about as deep and meaningful as you could hope to get) for the instantatious and the euphoric.

It’s a song that is spirited without being saccharine, witty without being flippant; it makes an important point but does so in the most infectious and accessible way. Marsa’s trademark blend of sharp lyricism and contagious pop turns the song into both a rallying cry and a knowing wink. This is womanhood embraced in all its forms—loud or quiet, fierce or gentle—even if that sometimes means choosing an early night over another round. It’s about independence and individuality; it’s about women deciding what defines womenhood for themselves.

“Company of Women” isn’t just a song; it’s a celebration of connection, crafted with warmth, intelligence, and a sense of fun that lingers long after the echo of the final chorus has drifted off into the night air.
