French Dogs - Tucker's Having a Baby (Ciao Ketchup Recordings)

15 February 2026

If their eponymous four-track debut EP explored that sense of being at an age where you feel caught between the social pressure to grow up and the desire to squeeze a few more hedonistic drops from life, the new single is where things start to get really serious.

“Tucker’s Having a Baby” describes the feeling that, once people in your circle of friends start having children and settling into a more adult lifestyle, you know it will all soon be over.

Blending raw and fractious, Brit-pop-infused guitars with raucous and thrashy punked up indie grooves, there is a real nod to the early 2000’s guitar band revival. You can hear the ultra-urban sound of The Strokes as much as the wilfully scruffy sonic chaos of The Libertines, but also a sound that chimes with more contemporary bands such as The Symposium at their most driven.

Taken from the band’s anticipated debut album, which drops this spring, 2026 looks to be the band’s breakout year with Record Store Day exclusive releases, and a string of gigs and in-stores in UK, France, and The Netherlands lined up to kick things into the next gear.

Whenever anyone brings up that tired old argument that guitar music is dead, hit them around the face with a piece of French Dogs vinyl, which is why you should always buy the physical product. (And obviously, if you do make a habit of this sort of display of support for the physical product, buy more than one copy.)
