Kisu Min - Rudolf Steiner House (Antena Krzyku)

3 April 2026

‘Rudolf Steiner House’ asserts itself as a work of precise emotional architecture, balancing art-pop sensibilities with moments of raw, intimate expressiveness. The album, recorded at Studio O4 Audiogames and polished through the meticulous mixing and mastering of Michał Kupicz, demonstrates a remarkable command of texture, rhythm, and narrative, establishing Kisu Min as a band capable of translating complex moods into concise, emotionally resonant songs.

The opening track, “Je Suis,” introduces the listener to Basia Ciupińska’s dual role as vocalist and multi-instrumentalist. Her voice carries a poised urgency that complements the subtly shifting synth layers and rhythmic guitar pulses. Ola Sobańska’s lead guitar accents feel conversational, responding to Ciupińska’s melodic lines with a precision that borders on improvisational intuition. Agata Pyziak’s drumming is both deliberate and supple, framing the composition without overwhelming it, while Michał Szafarz anchors the track with a bassline that simultaneously stabilizes and propels.

“G.A.I.A. (To Thoughts Of Mother Earth)” expands the album’s sonic palette through ambient synth flourishes and understated vocal harmonies. The song balances thematic depth and musical restraint, evoking an ecological awareness that is lyrical yet never didactic. In “Nothing But The Heart,” Ciupińska’s guitar and vocal lines converge to create a stark emotional resonance, supported by Pyziak’s nuanced percussive textures and Sobańska’s melodic counterpoint, while Szafarz’s backing vocals deepen the harmonic richness.

The title track exemplifies the band’s capacity for structural clarity within artful abstraction. Its layered instrumentation is deliberately measured, allowing each element (vocals, guitar, bass, percussion, and synth), to occupy distinct yet complementary spaces. “Lullaby” follows with an understated intimacy, where Ciupińska’s vocals float over soft synth beds, creating a sense of suspended time.

Tracks like “Rainbow Dash” and “Not Your Girl” reveal the band’s ability to channel playful and confrontational energies within brief, tightly composed frameworks. Sobańska’s lead guitar injects a subtle edge, articulating tension and release without sacrificing melodic accessibility. “L.A. Noir” situates the listener in a cinematic soundscape, combining a noirish melancholy with precise rhythmic interplay between Szafarz’s bass and Pyziak’s percussion.

“Priestess Of My Own” and “RLS” demonstrate the album’s lyrical introspection, merging contemplative motifs with electronic and organic textures. “Uncanny Valley” ventures into more experimental terrain, using synth modulation and textural shifts to challenge perception and create a sense of psychological depth. “Doomsday” closes the primary sequence with a taut, almost ritualistic energy, preparing the listener for the final track.

The closing piece, “Woland,” written by Bald Cats and featuring guest vocals by Daniel R. Ball (LEVELLER), functions as both a culmination and an outlier. Its collaborative energy introduces an external perspective without disrupting the album’s cohesive identity. Ciupińska, Sobańska, Pyziak, and Szafarz adapt fluidly, supporting Ball’s contribution while maintaining the signature Kisu Min interplay that defines the record.

Throughout ‘Rudolf Steiner House,’ Kisu Min demonstrates an uncanny ability to navigate between intimacy and expansive art-pop gestures. Ciupińska’s lyrical vision, Sobańska’s responsive lead guitar, Pyziak’s texturally aware drumming, and Szafarz’s grounding bass work coalesce into an ensemble that communicates with precision and emotional clarity. The album is not merely a collection of songs but a sculpted auditory space, one in which the listener is invited to inhabit multiple emotional and sonic dimensions simultaneously.

‘Rudolf Steiner House’ affirms Kisu Min’s standing as a group capable of blending narrative, melody, and texture with rigor and sensitivity, producing an album that rewards repeated engagement, revealing new intricacies with each listening.
