Misogynistic (“Once A Whore”), crude (“Two Dicks In Your Mouth”), racist (“Piss Drinkin’ Jew”), and generally offensive. But what did you expect from the final backing band of GG Allin? Did you even look at the cover? If you’re looking for subtlety, look away. The cover and track listing tell you what you need to know. GG’s brother Merle a.k.a. Pinky is on bass and has recruited vocalist PP Duvay (of the band They Hate Us) presumably because of his excellent GG impersonation. The Murder Junkies are not than just a tribute band. The new songs more than fit in with the rest of the Allin discography. The only thing that makes them noticeably different than the GG-lead songs are that the Murder Junkies’ recordings are cleaner. Though it’s been 18 years since GG’s death, it’s not as if this type of content doesn’t still push all the right buttons. Obviously, Road Killer is not for everyone but if you were a fan of GG Allin, then this is is a worthy continuation of his legacy of brutality and bloodshed.
